All pools are filled and closed; there is no more room in the pools.

The only event which is "Open" to all Press credentialed for this summit is the speech by President George W. Bush on Thursday (see the details in this schedule, please).

At the M. R. ?tefˇnik airport, President Bush will be welcomed by a delegation of senior leaders of the Slovak Republic, including the President, the Speaker of the National Council and the Prime Minister, as he begins his bilateral visit to the Slovak Republic. There are no speeches in this ceremony. President Bush will receive from Slovak children the traditional welcoming presentation of bread and salt.

President Bush delivers speech to Slovak guests and public in open air public address at the cultural heart of Bratislava near the Slovak National Theatre, in the square named for the Slovak poet, Pavol Orszˇgh Hviezdoslav. Slovak leaders will be with President Bush at this event. Translation of speeches will be consecutive.

The international conference, "A New Quest for Democracy: Shaping an Agenda for the Euro-Atlantic Community" will be held on 23 February 2005 in Bratislava, Slovakia. Co-sponsored by the Institute for Public Affairs and the Slovak Foreign Policy Association in co-operation with the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Bratislava Conference will feature activists and analysts from central, southern and eastern Europe and the United States.

The Speaker of the Slovak National Council (Parliament), Mr. Pavel Hrusovsky, and the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Mikulas Dzurinda, will address the opening and closing sessions of the conference respectively.

The conference is open to coverage by media who have the SUMMIT media credential from the Slovak Government and who pre-register separately with the conference organizers.
